Hey Internet
First off- I'm new to this blogging business, well personal blogging anyway... I did spend a while blogging about elephants but that's another story. Anyway, as you can already see I'm sure this will start out as a bit of a ramble but I guess I wouldn't be Scottish if I didn't blether on somewhat :)
Let me tell you a bit about myself, as I'm sure you're all dying to know how a wee farmer girl from the borders ended up in Austria with wolves (via elephants in Africa and Asia). Oh... well that's pretty much it actually so we can move on.
But before we do here's a picture of me from my African elephant days (a perk of the job!).

It's great to travel and experience new places and I often suffer from very itchy feet if I'm in one place for too long. But at the same time I rarely meet other Scottish people on my travels and it can be hard to hang on to my roots and Scottish quirks.
So I guess with this page I'm hoping to share a few stories that make living abroad an adventure whilst also helping myself remember what it means to be Scottish and all the good things that come with that :)
